THE REKS LENS COMMITMENT
While we have unbreakable frames, our commitment is to provide the highest quality lenses at the very best price. For instance, anti-reflective coatings eliminate reflections from the lens surface, optimizing your visual acuity while creating a lens that is nearly invisible. We believe anti-reflective coating enhances the performance and appearance of every lens and is therefore included on every lens we sell, including prescriptions.
We only provide shatter-resistant lenses in our unbreakable frames including the industry standard polycarbonate. We also offer a better shatter-resistant lens called Trivex. These lenses are made of polyurethane, a material with clarity nearly equal to glass.
POLYCARBONATE
Polycarbonate lenses are injection molded to create a thin, lightweight shatter-resistant lens. Polycarbonate lenses provide 100% UV protection and are considered the industry standard for shatter-resistant lenses.
TRIVEX
Trivex lenses are cast molded and made of an exceptionally clear, lightweight lens material, which translates into excellent all-day wearing comfort. Although lightweight, Trivex lenses have similar shatter-resistance qualities to polycarbonate and provide a clearer visual experience. Trivex lenses provide 100% UV protection.
